What people say about (Palmetto Hall Golf and Country Club)

Course was in great condition, play was fast, cart girl was always there greens rolled like a pool table and service from the staff was impeccable

The course lay-out is wonderful. Some me very challenging holes mixed in with some scorable par 4s and 5s. We played the Cupp course and it was not in good shape at all. The greens were very bumpy and several of them had some really bad, burnt-out areas that we had to move our ball around in order to get a decent putt line. On a few of the holes, the areas around the cups were completely burnt out as well...almost like a ring of orange. Finally, the tee boxes are really chewed up and the tee box on 18 is overgrown with crab grass. There are so many better options on and off the island that don't charge $180. I would think based on the condition of this course that they would offer some sort of discounted rate, because I can't believe the members would want to play in the shape it's in. Won't be going back

Hills course was in rough shape the last week of April. Appeared to be lots of damage from the cold spell that plagued the area this winter. Almost every green had what looked like snow mold or some type of fungus damage. Some were mild others were pretty severe. One tee was clearly a total loss and had a very average sod job done to it. We play here every year at the same time and it never has looked this bad. We also played two other courses on the island that were in 3-4 times better shape. We will likely take a break from this course for a few years and revisit with the hopes of improvement. Also the cart paths are pretty brutal in many spots.
