Sun Hills Golf Course

This course has gone downhill severely. The greens are scalped and unplayable in some areas. The fairways are dirt on some holes. Tee boxes from the blue tees are hard pack dirt. Completely atrocious they charge full price. Do not play in the afternoon on weekends. The pile tee times so close we bailed after 6 holes because it was 2.5 hours. Got a rain check. Went back! Played early morning. Pace was great until the back 9 when they put twosomes in the middle of the foursomes re-rounding. This causes back ups. Course seems they only want money. Go play valley view for the same price. One of the best courses in the state.

Sun Hills has literally some of the most scenic holes in Utah. With its location high up in Northern Layton you can see most of the Salt Lake Valley all the way out to the airport! Also the jets taking off right over your head never gets old! Greens are smooth and well taken care of and run a little slow. Which is nice for me! Very pretty course with fun and challenging holes this time of year!

The course course is looking great. Greens are maturing after the winter months. The pace of play is moderate to good during the week. On the weekends, it's closer to slow, but to be expected at the good rates offered and quantity of players looking to enjoy a fun round of golf for all abilities.
