What people say about (WinStar Golf Club & Academy)

Anthony Musser

Winter Review Played here the first week of December. Course was In excellent shape. Greens look good however they are pretty hard due to being fairly new. Played the rosebud course. Really enjoyed the practice area as well. Carts are in great shape Pro shop is ok. Looks like they are building a really nice one.

Have been passing by this location ever since it opened. Never took the time to stop because I was always trying to reach my destination. Working my way back through Texas and a friend of mine told me to stop in and we would play golf with his dad and sister. Really nice facility. Unfortunately pro shop snack bar all still under construction 2 years later. Very very slow on the updating from my understanding from several people there. Pro shop staff were very nice. people that brought my car to me in the parking lot were very nice. Nice size driving range, putting green and shipping and sand trap area to get warmed up. There is a food truck there and a tent with tables to sit at and eat if you want to. The course we play today was scissor tail. Nice course really nice condition. The greens ran true and smooth. T-boxes and fairways were in fairly decent shape with plenty of grass to hit off of. Certainly enjoyed myself at the golf course wished I would have played it when I was younger. Look forward to coming back up and playing the other course there redbud. It's a nice facility with a two 18 hole courses. The casino is just up the street about a half a mile so you can do a whole lot of things when you're in that area. Certainly go out and give it a try you won't be disappointed

Five stars from me, specifically at the Academy (for lessons.) Ask for Tim! Show up and do the work, he knows his stuff. Great technology and setup. Grace at the front desk is friendly and helpful for scheduling. Keep up the great work WGA. Thanks for the strokes, more to come.
