Some of the fairways aren't in the best shape, but for $50 on a weekend just an hour north of DFW, I think it's a good deal. Greens are in great shape and bunkers are as well. If they can get the fairways back in order, they'll be a top spot to play again. Only other negative would be pace of play, but on a Saturday, you can expect it to get backed up.
What a great course! It was challenging with the pin locations. The course is well kept, traps are perfect with fluffy sand, and the greens are large and very nice, all while being fast. Golf carts are in great shape. I will definitely play this course again! With a green fee, you get free range balls, all you want to hit, and they are new Taylor Made balls. The range is wide with many different flag areas to hit to. Each cart has a small chest with a couple of waters, a ball, and club cleaner, plus a GPS for the course layout and distances.
Scissortail Golf Course offers a well-rounded experience for golfers of all levels. Range balls are included, which is a nice touch, allowing you to warm up before your round. The course itself is well-maintained, with greens that provide a good challenge without being overly punishing.
