The Heather Golf Course

Staff was very friendly. Took some junior golfers out to play and Boyne Staff treated us great. The after 2pm deal at Boyne is truly unbelievable and a real commitment by Boyne to grow the game. Course was everything you would expect from one of Northern Michigan's best courses.

The absolute worst experience at a golf course that I have ever had. First, we showed up 30 minutes before tee time, only for them to tell us that our tee time is delayed for two hours because of the rain in the morning. Since we had too much time we wanted to hit the range only for the ranger to tell us that we can’t use it because they only have 10 spots. So before we even started playing golf the experience was not great. We start playing and the greens all have mold, fairways are same length as greens, tee boxes all underwater. This course is NOT WORTH $220. It’s like every other basic northern michigan course but double the price and not kept up as well. I wouldn’t even pay $50 to come back to this pos course. Save yourself the trouble and go pay an extra $50-100 to pay Bay Harbor. Or literally any other course than this dookie course Almost forgot to mention the starter with the longboard was the most miserable person i’ve met. He will assign you to carts and then yell at you when you don’t put your bags on right away, then 30 minutes later he will be yelling at you again for being in the wrong carts and if you try and explain to him that he put you in those carts he gets even angrier and yells more. Overall -5/10 experience.

Played the Heather on an early July Michigan golf trip. Really enjoyed this course. Nice layout. Course in excellent condition and greens in great shape. Definitely make the time to play this course.
