What people say about (Woodside Golf Course)

Fred Todd

Great 12 hole course. Well maintained. Only complaint was it played too slow. Passed two foursomes but still took to long. Need rangers to move golfers along. Beautiful course.

Four stars seems about right maybe closer to a 3.8. Pretty well maintained. Greens are good, not great....but in good shape for the most part. It's a good layout, and there are times when 12 holes is perfect. Prices are a touch high, but within the margins for what you get. Some beautiful holes, and some average holes. The good: a fast, fun round that is frequently enough. Great when you want to do 9, but would rather get a bit extra. Course is almost always in good shape. Not pristine, bit really good. Greens run slow but are well maintained. A few rough spots, but that is to be expected and anything less than a $120 per round course. The bad: not bad so much as just barely acceptable....the staff is not great from my experiences. Very spartan amenities and they seem fine, but also would be fine if you left. Not rude, but obviously aren't paid to go out of their way to make sure you enjoy yourself. Not really much in the way of signature or "fun" factor, which is fine for the most part, but not a lot of holes I look back on and go "well done". Pace of play can be a touch slow depending on how stacked up they are. In summary, course is in good shape, and if you have a good crew with you and are looking for an enjoyable, quick round then HELL YES. if you are looking for value....they are better, more inexpensive options. If you are looking for Premium level golf....then you need to pay more. I like having this course in the Lansing aresneal and it is worth playing, but there are a few others I would prioritize over this.

The course used to be quite premier. Tee boxes and greens used to be plush and lively. No longer. Holes haven’t moved since the first time I golfed this year there. Ball marks on the green made it look like a 96’ Grand Prix. Tee boxes were so chopped up, I considered moving each one to the beautiful green side of the box (another thing that’s not changed). Lastly, pace of play is determined on the card, but it is made for 4some(s) we started hole one with a 2 some behind us, (2 some as well) by hole 5 we had amassed 5 groups of 2 somes not including my group of 2 behind the old timers who refused to allow players to play through. So for $45 dollars. Go play a better course. I would recommend to hard paying customers that this is not worth your time any longer.
