What people say about (Shadow Lakes Club)

_ Boringk

Beautiful views on almost every hole. Very hilly course, with difficult undulating greens, several with false fronts. Most holes have wide fairways, and not many trees. It is a very nice course and I always look forward to playing it. They do have a putting green, but it is very small, and the range uses mats instead of real grass. They have a few food items in the clubhouse plus beer and mixed drinks, but not a full "restaurant and bar". Overall I have no real complaints about Shadow Lakes Club - I am very pleased and highly recommend it.

Had an awesome round at Shadow Lakes. The course is in great shape super well maintained from tee to green. I didn’t run into any slow groups, which made the pace really enjoyable. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the layout itself is both fun and challenging. Definitely one of those courses that keeps you engaged the whole time. I’ll definitely be coming back.

2.5 to 3 stars. Best two things about this course were some of the views you get and the greens. The greens were in really great shape and rolled very nice. Some of the cups didn’t seem to be cut the best, but that could be from the amount of play and the flag going in and out all day. The fairways were wide so you don’t have to be extremely accurate off the tee too. Visually, the golf course is a mess. Don’t let the lush green fairways on the website fool you. The fairways were more of a burnt-out grey and felt more like crab-grass. They were also hard as a rock. I was in quite a few bunkers and very few had the same consistency as far as amount of sand. The pro-shop staff was great, the driving range did its job. The course is challenging for sure. If you play, be ready to play in the wind. Had the fairways been in better shape, this would definitely had been more like a four star course; just seeing gray all day was a bummer.
