I've come in here multiple times in the past few weeks at different times just to see if I could get the attention of the sales team. Oftentimes picking up brand new golf clubs, looking at bags, etc. Things that you would think that a salesperson would be excited to sell me or ask if I need help. Not once do I ever get asked if I am okay or if I need assistance. This place has a decent selection of golf items. But the service is extremely lackluster. They should take a note from PGA Superstore and Edwin Watts whose employees always seem eager to help and assist.
Twice now I've had a sub par to terrible experience here. 1. Went in for a driver fitting. Told the guy I wanted to spend around $500 for a new driver and he nodded and said we can do that. End of the fitting he hands me the driver we tested. He hasn't told me anything about cost being much more then $500. "That'll one I got you set up with is $900." No thank you. 2. Went in there with a buddy who's getting into golf and wanted to try out some used drivers. I grab him a few drivers to try out, and we are hitting in one of the open bays. Hardly anyone is in the store. One of the employees comes up and asks if we are going to buy a club. My buddy says he's thinking about it but not sure if he's ready to pull the trigger. The employee grabs the few drivers we are hitting and says, "Well, if you're not ready to spend money, you don't need to be hitting any of these." The employee then walks out and puts the clubs back. Personally, I've spend quite a bit at GG over the years. Tremendously disappointed with their lack of service and will be looking elsewhere for golf equipment in the future.
The club fitting experience at Golf Galaxy was fantastic! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain the process and answer all my son's questions. The fitting itself was insightful and helped my son understand his swing better. The store was clean and well-stocked, although the women's bathroom could use some attention. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend Golf Galaxy for anyone looking to improve their golf game!
