Minor Park Golf Course

Fairways and rough are kept in great shape. Greens are firm and very fast. I'm willing to say the best greens in KC for a public course. They can be brutal and lead to 4 putts if you aren't careful. Drink cart comes by every 45 minutes or so. Nice screens on the carts with a preview and yardages on the hole you're on. There's not a single bunker on the property. I wish there were.

Honestly a solid course. If you are a beginner or amateur, this is probably the best course you should go to. It is Super straightforward to play on, and there are no sand traps, and out of 18 holes you only hit over water 3 times depending on the tee box (2 times if you hit reds). 4 stars because I think it should be better maintained in certain areas especially off the tee box (probably needs more funding), and it’s pretty slow to play on-but that also depends on the day. The happy hour is also pretty nice and it’s a great deal! The service is always great and friendly as well. Again-from going here since I was 9, I highly recommend this course!

We recently did a 4-week group lesson with Chad for 5 of us with varying levels of golf experience—ranging from total beginners to those with 5+ years of playing. Chad did an amazing job tailoring instruction to each of our needs. He offered helpful tips, clear guidance, and kept things fun and engaging the entire time. He was incredibly patient, friendly, and made everyone feel comfortable no matter their skill level. Highly recommend him if you’re looking to improve your game or just get started with golf!
