What people say about (Hilltop Ski Area)

Heather B

March 12 2025 good conditions for spring break! Great place to learn and practice. 2 of the 3 terrain parks were open for skilled skiers/boarders. The instructors even teach in the terrain parks! Of the six ski resorts I have been to, this is the first one where I have seen instructors in the terrain parks. 20 minute uber ride from downtown Anchorage! Super convenient and super affordable. $47 lift ticket and $80 boots/board/helmet rental. We could not pass up the opportunity to ski during our Alaskan vacation. I was surprised that a non-profit ski place exists. They have everything big expensive resorts have. They sell warm gear and goggles if you forget yours. They have the best hot chocolate, beer, and free water. The cheeseburger, grilled cheese, chili cheese dog, and brownie were all delicious. The staff is all cheerful, kind, and efficient. The equipment rentals, food service, retail, lift operators, and ticket sales were all positive, upbeat, and motivated. Wish we lived closer so we could ski here weekly ❤️

Wanna shred the knar? Wanna have a friendly vibe? Wanna live it up? Wanna do both in Alaska and Anchorage for that much? I’m saying yes to everything. They have rentals, it’s affourdable and so much fun. I got extreme and ripped the knar solid. After lapping the groomers all morning, I finally hit the knarliest black diamond, sending it through the trees and catching some serious air off the bumps, landing a butter on the flats before linking back up with my crew. I like to say I’m Xtreme but I like being called Arlo more. Please like, mark ad helpful and follow along for some adventures-to the great frontline

Fun trails. (From top to bottom is approximately 1 mile) First time doing downhill and I'm 60. Had a hard time loading my bike so just ask the chair attendant to load, they are very friendly. Also when you get to the top there is a cool trail on the other side of the trail map sign. Go to the right and it takes you on a very cool trail. It's not part of the park but drops you back into the parking area. It's kind of technical, but I took my time. Also if you're not fast, make sure to pull off trail to let others pass.
