I play here a couple times a month and it's always a good time. Staff is friendly and easy going. The grill serves a solid grilled cheese sandwich. The driving range is on the other side of the bridge and having TopTracer there makes crushing practice balls even more fun.
Love it. It's long, it's Black, and was made for us! Was first attracted to the course because it's in DC; but, quickly fell in love with the course history and those salmon cakes! The fact that it's named after a brother, John Mercer Langston (1829-1897), who was an abolitionist, the first dean of the Howard University School of Law, first president of Virginia Normal and Collegiate Institute (now Virginia State University), first Black man elected to the United States Congress from Virginia, and U.S. Minister to Haiti deeply resonates - it's a calling. The back-9 are my favorite as the tree enclosure quiets the city noise, and the course becomes considerably more challenging. We play every Sunday, 8am for #SoulfulSundaysGolf with the Bison Impact Group (bisonimpactgroup.org). Randall, Ben and the rest of the staff are so kind and take great care of us. It's a blast!
17MAR.2025 This historical 18 hole golf course is beautiful and nice staff at Langston Grille. Don’t try to call the restaurant, no one answers the phone. The food is made to order(especially the eggs). The omelette 🍳 w/veggies and turkey sausage. And the French fries are huge steak fries. I know this is a historical spot, would love if proper updated renovations could be done with some serious, generous financial donations. This place deserve that and more.
