What people say about (Roanoke Disc Golf)

Chris “Topher” B.

Great course! Each hole has three starting positions beginner, intermediate, and pro. I have played this course numerous times and Love it. They have Sunday random doubles if you welcome a challenge (2pm). The county has recently mowed the grass very short and cut back some of the dead trees, this is helpful when searching for a disc that took a bad roll. 18 holes with breathtaking views and various obsticals, even a pond hazard on the 11th hole. Recommend this course to everyone, regardless of skill level.

Decent course for the area, lots of elevation change, some tight lines in the woods and some wide open shots in the open. A god mix of par 3s and 4s. Wooden bridges or wood chips to help ya stay out of the mud and water. Even one hole that you have to throw over maybe a hundred feet of pond. Multiple layouts, all holes have at least 2 tee pads, some 3, and the potential for 2 baskets. The tall OB grass can be annoying and there’s some wooded, bushy, thorny rough that you can loose a disc in easily. There is a Dropbox for list discs though right at the parking lot near the course map (interactive map also on UDisc). Hole 3s basket doesn’t exist at the moment.

Best course in the area, build by the RDG club and the county.
