The Rockland Farm Course at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club

Solid course over all. It needs some time to mature, some water, and weed killer. Not sure the history of it but I think it used to be "Bowling Green GC-south" or something. Fun layout but a bit repetitive with "Driver, long wedge" all day …

Solid course over all. It needs some time to mature, some water, and weed killer. Not sure the history of it but I think it used to be "Bowling Green GC-south" or something. Fun layout but a bit repetitive with "Driver, long wedge" all day on par 4s. Only 2 par 5 holes all in rolling hills which creates some character. Greens will not hold a high iron shot. Had one wedge on #10 hit the front fringe, bounce high and hit near hole, and run to back of green. Ended up having to hit the ball short and hope for a run up on most holes. Greens were otherwise in good shape. Fringes and tee boxes were 1/2 weeds. Maybe with new ownership things will improve. Conditions were similar to Sly Fox course down the road. I had hoped for better but will still check out the other courses they have in the area.
