What people say about (The Links Course at Shenandoah Valley Golf Club)

Dan Walters

Played the Links this past Monday with a friend. We both found the course average at best. We saw a few workers working a two sand traps, and one other mowing a tee box, but other than those few, we saw no other workers on the course. The fairways were in okay shape, but nothing to brag about. After the round we went into the cafe but were disappointed with the draft beer selection, Bud Light, Miller Light and similar type beers. We left and went to a pub in Winchester. Today we played at Sly Fox with the Senior League. This course is demonstratively better. The fairways are in very good shape, as are the greens and the sand traps. A few of the tees boxes showed some wear, but overall for cost, Sly Fox was a much better deal.

$75 for an over booked course. The rough was extremely high and the course isn’t it great shape. For $75 you can play many other courses in the area that are in better shape. RIP OFF

It is a challenging course.Unless you have a gps to tell you yardages to pins you have no chance as they for some reason cannot put the usual markers for 100 150 and 200 yards marked.Seems this should be standard procedure
