What people say about (City of Lockhart Disc Golf Course)

Petey2time

Short and fun par 3 course. Winding hills with moderate hazards; fairly easy to find disc if goes in creek or plants near creek. Great course to practice throwing low as it's filled with trees. In small town, so not busy - played over and over til dusk. Only downside was the natural pads with rocks and roots, trip hazard. And the signs were just posts with numbers - little hard to navigate at first; 7 and 8 pad (same) is the unmarked post by 6.

Fun little course. Plays in about an hour and a half. Shady in the summer. Fairly technical due to canopy. No signage and dirt T boxes with roots. Also , it’s set in a “ bowl” so wind is minimal. Always well maintained and no one is ever there.

When I first started going here 5 years ago everything was well marked and maintained. Now the signs are missing and the condition of the launch pads are in a poor state. The Lockhart residents seem to feel like this is the perfect spots for their dogs to poop. So play at your own risk. While playing for 45 mins I saw two people show up, get their dog out of the vehicle, let them do their business, and then leave. That's ridiculous, at least pick it up and put it in a trash can!
