Irving Golf Club

Very disappointing experience at the Irving Golf Club snack bar. We arrived at 6:50 PM after playing 9 holes, simply wanting to grab a drink before continuing the back nine. Unfortunately, the young lady at the snack bar told us she had already closed the register—even though it was 10 minutes before the official closing time. Despite still being within operating hours, she refused to serve us, which is not only poor customer service but also shows a complete lack of consideration for players trying to enjoy their round. After a hot day on the course, this kind of attitude really kills the experience. It’s a shame that something as simple as hospitality at the snack bar can ruin what should be an enjoyable afternoon of golf.

Fun golf course, it is well kept up. I wish there was more trees for shade because it was such a hot day but the weather is not their fault. We went on a holiday and it was not backed up at all. Cart girl was around multiple times through the 18 holes. Overall good experience and will be back again. Great price for golf.

This course earns a solid 4+ rating. The greens fees are very reasonable, and the greens themselves are quick and true, which adds to the overall value. While some areas around the course could use a little improvement, the general condition is quite good. One downside is the lack of on-course card payment options for food and drinks. Instead of using a mobile payment system, the cart staff takes your card back to the clubhouse to process the charge, then returns to find you on the course. It’s a minor inconvenience, but a small investment in Android devices and a system like Square or Stripe could streamline the process and make the experience more modern and convenient. Overall, it’s a great course with fair pricing and excellent greens, but updating the payment system would take it to the next level.
