Oakhurst Golf Club

I refuse to return!!! The course itself is beautiful and the facilities are well-kept. However, a word of caution!!! We scheduled a tee time for two players for 18 holes the day prior, only to be informed that we couldn’t play as a pair on the weekend and were compelled to pay for a third player. The marshals on the course were excessively controlling and exhibited a level of unprofessionalism I’ve never encountered before. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had in my 15 years of golfing. Save yourself the hassle and choose a different course.

I will never be back to this place. I came on Memorial Day~the rate of play was awful but they urged I come back on any other weekend and it would be better. Fast forward to today~we book a tee time. After an hr and a half of sitting around waiting and only playing 3 holes. We decided that we didn’t want to be here til Tuesday to finish our round. We tried to play through and realized that this was the case for the entire front 9. I went to the pro shop to talk to them to see if we could get a credit for a future round or refunded. He said “we don’t do that and rate of play isn’t our responsibility” which is a first for any golf course I have ever played. Do not waste your time or your money coming here.

This course is honestly awful. The greens are full weeds, and some of the holes were even flooded. Bunkers were full of water and we were told they are getting replaced, but we were told the exact thing 6 months ago! The marshals complaining about pace of play. We were told on hole three that the Marshall told the group in front of us to speed up when we teed off. As soon as we get to hole four, we have another Marshall drive up to us and tell us that we are playing slow now and need to skip a hole. Mind you this was all done within a 10 minute window. The owner comes out with a terrible attitude and speaks to grown men like they are children. This course is honestly in horrible condition, and they definitely know it. So you would think at least they would have Somewhat of a great customer service. The best thing about this course is honestly finishing it so you get to leave. If you wanna play golf in this area, just head over to Atascocita or cypresswood. And before I get a smart response from the owner on here, there’s no way to justify the multiple other people who are posting the same thing about the Marshalls being jerks.
