Panther Creek State Park

A Beautiful but Challenging Hike – Be Prepared! This is a beautiful experience, but if it’s your first time, make sure to come prepared. The hike is about 3.5 miles round-trip to the waterfall and back. Bring plenty of water and some snacks—you’ll need the energy. The trail isn’t easy. Expect a lot of inclines, narrow paths, creek crossings, small cliffs, rocky terrain, and fallen trees along the way. It can be a bit tough if you’re not used to hiking or uneven ground. That said, the journey is worth it. Once you reach the waterfall, the view is stunning and makes all the effort worthwhile.

My daughter loves this little spot. She loves to catch things in the creek and there's also a playground up the road. There's walking trails, you can ride horseback.. it's just a fun, quiet spot. It's a nice place to relax and unwind!

This is an awesome park. I would highly recommend. There are several trails here, over 25 miles. A great view of Cherokee Lake. It is donations only. There's a gift shop that closes at 4. Park closes at sunset. Dogs allowed on leash. Plenty of picnic tables. A campground that is nice and clean.
