What people say about (John Conrad Regional Golf Course)

Tristan Johnson

The course is a very nice and fun course. But their is a guy in the clubhouse that work the front desk named Joe. Yesterday it was very cloudy and the radar said chance of rain, so I called the course and Joe answered I simply asked him “are yall letting people play?” And replied back with a scoff and said “umm yea why wouldn’t we?” Trying to make me look stupid. That’s not the part that bothered me. He let me and my brother pay and play not at anytime did he mention no rain checks after 4 holes. Of course right as we get done with hole 4 not even a minute later he was driving towards us literally smiling ear to ear and kicked us off cause of lightning which I completely understand. But then didn’t give us a rain check and I asked why he said “because after four holes we don’t give rain checks, that should be self explanatory” he has the worst attitude and I have had multiple people also say the same thing about him . He needs to be talked to about this cause that’s ridiculous

I never do this and I hate to post nasty stuff but I've had too much. I live right down the street from this course and I never play it because of JOE. The pro shop staff. Hid attitude is atrocious. Long story short, he gave me rain check after we got through 3 holes and paid for 18 and a cart. (Only would give me a raincheck for 9 and a cart.) I didn't fuss about it because he said it was "their policy." Fast forward weeks later I go to the course to use my rain check and he won't honor it. Says the rain check was "only for the cart" and makes me pay again. Thats fine, I'm not even worried about the money but his attitude is disgusting. Ironically it started raining again while we were on hole 4, and Joe pulled up with up with the happiest grin and told us to leave. You can really tell he enjoyed kicking us off for barely any rain. Of course he would not give us a rain check. So here I am roughly 150 bucks in and have played a total of 7 holes on this course. Because of Joe. The man loves to make your hobby as difficult as possible and wants to ruin everyone's good time. If you want to have an old grumpy man rip you off and bully you every time you play, this is the course for you. I will never spend another penny here until he is gone.

I recently had the pleasure of playing a round at John Conrad Golf Course in Midwest City, and I can't help but share my wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, it was apparent that this wasn't just any golf course; it was a well-maintained, challenging, and above all, enjoyable setup. The course itself is beautifully taken care of. It's evident that the grounds crew puts in a lot of effort to maintain not just the fairways, but especially the greens. Ah, the greens—challenging is an understatement! They're wavy, fast, and make you think twice before every putt. Pin placement is designed in a way that requires precise shot-making. One wrong move and you could be looking at a tough two-putt or worse. What really sets this course apart is the pace of play. Even on a busy Saturday blessed with perfect weather, we managed to finish our round in 4 hours. That's a testament to how well the course is managed and how respectful the players are of one another's time. As if the golf wasn't entertaining enough, another highlight was the low-flying military planes from the nearby Air Force base. It adds an exhilarating element to the game, making each round at John Conrad not just a game of golf, but a full-on experience. The staff are the cherry on top. They were incredibly friendly and helpful from the get-go. One heads-up for future golfers: the course doesn't accept cash, so make sure to bring a card. All in all, I can confidently say that John Conrad Golf Course offers an unmatched golfing experience. From the challenging greens to the scenic beauty and the unique 'air show', it's a course I will definitely be revisiting. Highly recommended!
