What people say about (Hidden Creek Family Golf Course)

Brian C

I RECOMMEND THIS COURSE I played this course many times in the 90’s. The place has cleaned up substantially. The clubhouse was understated as I recall, but nothing else was the same. This course was terrific! I will be going again, and again, and again. This is a VERY inexpensive public course. With that in mind, we encountered families and one drunk five-some that was a little slow. Beyond that we had an excellent time. The grounds were well kept, fairways nicely mowed, and the greens were soft and receptive. A lot of the old trees are still around. They did clean up the creek running through the center. Now it’s all line with rock. Very clean and neat. My buddy and I have our own push carts, so the “play all day” fee felt like we were stealing from the golf course. This place is such a good value! The 9 hole course has no par 5 holes, but we never got bored with the 3’s and 4’s. They do have nice, new electric carts available, and it’s about the same price as golf to rent one. We had no issues walking the course on a warm day. We had shade trees everywhere to rest under. This place does not accept cash. Not for drinks, not for golf, not for tees or balls. Another fun note…scattered around this course are FOOTGOLF holes. They host a group to let you work the golf course with a soccer ball.

02/01/25 I paid for the “All Walk Special,” expecting a smooth round, but the course marshal forced everyone to start from the first tee. This resulted in a massive bottleneck, with about 20 people lined up and a long wait—over 45 minutes before even getting started. Instead of splitting groups and allowing some to start midway, they stuck to this inefficient system. It completely ruined the pace of play and made for a frustrating experience. If you’re expecting a well-organized round, be prepared for potential delays. Wouldn’t recommend unless they fix this issue.

We enjoy playing this par 3. It's clean, well kept the creek for a fun hazard. Little pricey if you need a cart but worth it on occasion.
