Forest Park Golf Course

First time playing at Forest Park Golf Course and it was very enjoyable. I played the Dogwood 9 and it has nice open fairways to drive and set up for a 100 yard approach. The course is very well taken care of. The golf carts were clean and electric. I enjoyed the scenery. You will hit over water, so if water gravity is an issue for you like me, then bring an extra ball. On the par 3’s check your distance and pick a club you know you can carry the green with. Very enjoyable and I highly recommend.

Great public course. We played the flat, open Hawthorne nine and the hilly, challenging, but fair Redbud nine. Solid conditions considering the volume of golfers who come through. They have some very helpful course info on their website (Play Golf —> The Course). I give it 4 stars only because of the price—$70 to ride.

My husband played 18 holes here for a great price (Redbud & Hawthorne) while the kids and I went to the zoo and art museum. I was able to book a tee time online a couple days before, easily. He says: friendly staff, good layout, good value. He liked the elevation change on Redbud (we’re Florida people). Rough is thick, so you sometimes can’t see your ball if you’re playing on your own. He was glad he used the Costco green golf balls as he was able to see them better.
