St. Louis Country Club

The St. Louis Country Club, in the St. Louis suburb of Ladue, Missouri, is a private country club. This club, which dates back to 1892, is among the oldest and most prestigious in the metropolitan St. Louis area. The course is both difficult and beautiful, with tree-lined fairways, immaculately maintained greens, and well positioned bunkers and hazards. On a sunny and windy day, I went there, and I've since created a YouTube video to show my relatives and close friends.

My review is very stale and exceptionally irrelevant but a request for it popped up so here goes. On highly infrequent occasions I'd traverse the club's grounds as it was then betwix my home and my still highly rated high school (Horton Watkins.) Some 60 years ago I'd walk from school to home because yellow school buses weren't commonplace requiring carpools which were awkward for after-school activities. My walk was a pleasant one as Ladue is/was exceptionally affluent with well maintained properties about. The club grounds, too, were perfectly groomed and spotless. Although the total journey was ~ an hour I relish its memory including St. Louis Country Club grounds. My apologies if my appearance on the grounds was not appreciated by club members. I was only a kid👍
