What people say about (States Golf Course)

Duane W

First time playing at States Golf Course. Got there early and had a chance to talk with the staff and get some inside information on the course. The two ladies I spoke with were very friendly and helped me with playing suggestions. The rate was nice for the course. I walked the 18 holes and am not sure if it was still the spring rate or not but very reasonable either way. The club house had ample seating with a nice bar area. The course itself is somewhat flat with wider fairways and some scattered trees. The tee boxes were all very well maintained. They have 4 sets of tees to choose from. The fairways were in great shape and the rough was not crazy but you still did not want to be in it. The greens were in great shape as well. Not very many flat greens but also not a lot of elevation changes either. The front 9 is somewhat more open and the back 9 seemed to have more trees and doglegs to work with. The cart paths are mainly up by the tee boxes and are gravel but well taken care of. There are no holes or ruts to bounce you out of the cart. This is a very playable course and one I will definitely go back to. If your not afraid to be in the fairway you will have a chance to score really well. On this day my driver betrayed me so I had a bit more work to do! Some of the holes are lined by fields and county roads so be aware of passing cars if your going to shank it left! Loved this course, the staff and the amount of time they have put into keeping it nice! Thanks for a great experience! Well done!

I LOVE this course. Perfect for any level golfer. Not a place where you’re going to lose a sleeve of balls. Greens and fairways maintained well. Very reasonably priced. Large clubhouse for 19th hole shenanigans. They don’t do tee times, usually open play unless they have an outing. I’m thinking of getting a membership here next season!
