The course is slowly coming into its own. Wide, fast fairways and very challenging greens make for a fun and interesting 18 holes. I highly recommend hiring a forecaddy for the first couple of rounds at South. The knowledge (and strokes!) gained is well worth the expense. If playing both the Bluffs and the South courses on the same day, I’d recommend saving South for the second 18. It tends to be less physically taxing than the Bluffs.
What a challenging and fun course. Very fast fairways and rock solid greens. The course has no forced carries so makes for a great option for all golfers. Plays and feels like a true links style course. Service was A+! The weather was cold and windy. All carts came with covers, free of charge. And we were given propane heaters, free of charge, to keep warm. The course is very exposed and always windy and they help prepare you for that. The cold and windy weather felt very appropriate for the course and did not spoil the experience at all.

SERVICE & HOSPITALITY👍: The staff at the South Course are exceptional, providing professional service from start to finish. The starters, pro shop staff, and restaurant crew are friendly and accommodating, ensuring a great experience for every golfer. During our visit with a group of eight golfers, we found the staff attentive and welcoming, enhancing the overall enjoyment. AMENITIES👍: The South Course boasts excellent facilities, including a well-equipped clubhouse, full-service restaurant, and pro shop stocked with quality golf merchandise. The practice facilities, which include a driving range and putting greens, are well-maintained, providing a comprehensive warm-up experience before hitting the course. PACE of PLAY👍: Despite its popularity, the pace of play on the South Course is generally well-managed. Even with a group of eight golfers, we were able to maintain a steady pace throughout the round, allowing for an enjoyable and timely finish. LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY👍: Located a mile inland from Lake Michigan, the South Course is easily accessible from the main Arcadia Bluffs resort lodge. The scenic surroundings add to the allure of the course, making it a must-visit destination for golf enthusiasts seeking a beautiful and challenging round.
