First off, I have gone here about a dozen times. Good luck finding the next hole, there are minimal signs to tell you where the next hole is, the blacktop path splits off into multiple paths with no signs, lol. The greens are ALL like sheets of ice, especially the one's with the steepest angles, almost impossible to keep 9n the green if you even tap it at the top of the green.
When I booked my wedding at Chemung, I knew the venue and staff would be amazing but couldn’t even begin to imagine how amazing they would actually be. Brigid and Haley made sure the day, decorations and food/drink were nothing shy of perfect. Brigid was there first thing in the morning to let me and my girls in and was the last one to leave, checking in on everyone all night. The food was absolutely amazing. From the charcuterie board and appetizers, to the dinner, to the late night snack it was some of the best wedding food I have ever had. The staff all bent over backwards to make sure the day was perfect for myself, our families and the guests. I couldn’t recommend this venue more, it is truly one of a kind.
We played this course for the first time on Monday. What a pleasure! From the welcoming attitude of Don Braden the Golf Professional at check in, to the starter at the first tee, to the friendly waitstaff in the club house. The course is in good shape with well maintained tee boxes, and greens. This is not a “grip it and rip it” course, but rather one where you need to think your way around each hole. Elevation change and water features along with bunkers that protect many greens, will add to the interest and challenge. I can’t wait to go back and try my new knowledge to score better next time. A busy course, so don’t expect to play in under four hours, but golf doesn’t need to be a race anyway.
