What people say about (Travis Pointe Country Club)

Kurt Eschmann

I attended a wedding at Travis Pointe and it was really beautiful. The ceremony was outside but mostly shaded which made it nice. The food was fantastic and the staff was very respectful and kind. I would recommend this to anyone looking to have a wedding here. I only wish I could have played a round of golf while I was here. Great job TPCC!

Visited here for a family wedding. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the grounds are gorgeous. The food was tasty as well!

My family and I have been members for 2 years at Travis Pointe Country Club (TPCC). We continue to be so disappointed in everything the club has to offer. We spent $220 at dinner on Friday night which was below average. Dinner consisted of main courses for 4 which included 2 adults, 2 children and we either had just water to drink or soda and ordered a few appetizers. This includes no alcohol being consumed at the price of $220. I have mentioned and emailed on many occasions they need to address the poor food at the club. Of course my feedback gets ignored, maybe I’m the only one who feels this way. The food should be a highlight but it continues to be a reason we don’t visit often. We are required to spend a food and beverage minimum every quarter and that’s why we go (or we get charged the money anyway) but we know full well our dining experience will be awful. My kids (ages 8 & 11) also hate going, they beg to go elsewhere every single time. The service is extremely slow most days and it’s a huge problem even to get basic drink refills. One dinner out at Travis Pointe and few months ago, we spent 3+ hours at dinner waiting on food/drinks - it was horrific. We were upset, my kids were begging to leave at this point before our food even came as we had been sitting there for hours. When I mentioned it to the director of the club, she mentioned being short staffed and thanked us for the understanding. The Food and Beverage director who was also CC’d on the email, didn’t respond. We can of course understand and accept this occasionally or every now and again but not every single time we dine. It is just one of the many reason for not having a pleasant experience. The activities at the club are also sub par. Nothing ever exciting for kids to do - they have occasional dance parties with (again) poor food options, maybe some glow sticks thrown in the mix and limbo for a game or plastic axe tossing. My kids (again 8 & 11) find this to be geared towards a very young crowd, which I agree. Sometimes they host PJ bingo, and a NEW kids activity that was just hosted at the club recently was a class teaching kids dining manners. Oh what fun. Other country clubs that our friends are a part of both locally and in different states hold cool kids events like kids Nerf war night, Jr kids chef nights or baking, scavenger hunts, putt putt courses, glow swim parties, etc. When TPCC does host events (both kids and adult events) they feel really “cheap” and thrown together. Every member is required to pay EXTRA for all the events that are attended on top of our regular dues so I’m not sure why the events always feel lacking and just thrown together last minute. A lot of other events they host seem to be geared towards girls and as mentioned, a toddler crowd. The adult events they come up with aren’t that much better unfortunately. If considering a membership at TPCC, I’d do your homework and also look around at other clubs locally to really see what you’re getting, the types of events hosted, I’d see if you could have a lunch/dinner meal to sample the food before committing to a contract. Choose wisely and may the odds be in your favor!
