This place was a disappointment overall for me. The grounds are beautiful and the architecture is nice. My issue is with the value to service proposition of this place. I’ve been very blessed to have been to a couple really nice spa / hotel …

Château Élan is a beautiful property—absolutely stunning grounds and scenery. The food was excellent, and overall, I really enjoyed my time there. The stay was very relaxing, except for the occasional noise from neighboring guests, which did take away from the tranquility at times. Still, it was a lovely experience.

Don’t go to the Easter Egg Hunt! It was absolutely despicable. We should have known since it was advertised as free to the public. The grounds at Chateau Elan are beautiful and extensive, but …

The winery is great with a restaurant at that location. Did some wine tasting and bought a few bottles. Great place to relax.

Very relaxing, lovely atmosphere! We took a nap in a hammock and had a wonderful body massage. They greeted you with a beverage. We had brunch. The menu was limited, but breakfast food was good. Some liked the crab cakes, some did not. The …

My friend and I went to the spa and had a blast. The food at the restaurant was 3/5, but I have high standards on food. The service 10/10. The massage was awesome and the facial was the best I have ever had. In between services we enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor hammock area which was all so lovely. I would definitely go back.

Terrible experience - dirty restaurant, tables not cleared, dirty room, nickel and dimed on all charges : 3% credit card fee + resort fee+parking fee + occupant tax etc etc. Would not recommend!

This is a nice, but not luxury hotel. It is very much like a downtown Hilton or Marriott. The refrigerator wasn't working when we got there, but they replaced it while we were at dinner. The minibar is in the fridge with bottles of liquor …

Beware making reservations! Made a reservation for a quick stay and wanted to have a nice dinner and visit the spa. The Spa now requires you to pay in full (Including Gratuity) just to make an appointment. Unfortunately my husband made …

This place was a disappointment overall for me. The grounds are beautiful and the architecture is nice. My issue is with the value to service proposition of this place. I’ve been very blessed to have been to a couple really nice spa / hotel / restaurant places in my life. I felt that we paid 4 star prices here for 2 or 3 star value. Service was not bad, but not outstanding. Food the same. Our room didn’t have hot water for 2 nights. Called them immediately to fix it and they never did. Truly not a bad experience overall. I just feel like you can spend the same money elsewhere and get a better experience. I must clarify this is for the hotel and restaurant(s). I found the Spa at Chateau Elan to be fantastic and the winery fine as well.

Don’t go to the Easter Egg Hunt! It was absolutely despicable. We should have known since it was advertised as free to the public. The grounds at Chateau Elan are beautiful and extensive, but the Easter Egg Hunt for hundreds of children was held in a tiny grassy area. The eggs weren’t even hidden, they were just thrown on the grass in the open. There were kids who pushed to the front and took all of eggs before the other kids could even get to the grass. I was with 5 kids and not one of them got an egg! We were even toward the front of the crowd. As we were walking out I counted 17 children crying because they didn’t get an egg! Then, we would pass by kids who had 20+ in their baskets. I agree that some of this is horrific parenting, but Chateau Elan didn’t even try to hide the eggs. I mean come on! You’ve these beautiful, extensive, grounds and can’t be bothered to spread things out a bit so all the children have a chance? I understand that it is free, which is nice, but honestly it was more detrimental than anything. If you plan it to be this way, just don’t do it at all. There were way too many kids whose core memory for that Easter was crying. I was so disgusted, I won’t be back to Chateau Elan.
