What people say about (Truman Executive Golf Course)

Jim Koll

Fun pitching putt with two problems that all four pitching putts in the area have. No shade and only one place to sit halfway through the course. They need shade, and they need benches to sit while you're waiting. The course is beautiful and well maintained. Starter was friendly.

Turtle Mound Golf course at The Villages is a nice little par 3, 9 hole course designed for beginners, really, but can still provide interest to experienced golfers as well. Turtle Mound Golf course is open to all residents of The Villages, but the "free" golf for life is a bit misleading. There are cart fees, so unless you walk the course, be prepared to dig into your wallet. Also, be prepared to dress decently, including collared shirts for men. The range ambassador will definitely be checking, and it is unlikely they'd even let you tee off if you aren't dressed properly. Once you're on the course, though, play become very pleasant generally speaking. The tee times tend to be about 7 minutes apart, so if you encounter a very inexperienced group, or a group larger than 3, expect to wait in between holes. If the course switched tee times to 10 minutes apart, that would probably go a long way to alleviating some of the backup. On the whole, a nice course and a nice time golfing

Hills on a Village's Executive Course. Nice views. Play # 9 from the back tees if you can.
