Bonifay - Country Club Restaurant

John was a wonderful waiter! Funny and attentive! Great mushroom Swiss burger n white sangria. My husband got coconut shrimp and loved it. Our son got a hot dog with chili n cheese. Excellent food and service

We came here for brunch as I saw they had shrimp and we had a craving for them. Unfortunately, these were about the worst shrimp I've ever had because they were covered in some kind of thick slime that made them so slippery they were difficult to peel. It was like a thick mucus and I have no clue what it was but I definitely do not recommend ordering them. I lived at the ocean for a few years and have eaten shrimp hundreds of times and have no clue what they did to make them slimy like this. They did not taste like they were old or had turned or anything like that, but the flavor didn't even taste like shrimp or old bay which the menu said they were boiled in, and just kind of had some sort of mild spice flavor and that was it. We sat on the patio and the atmosphere and scenery was great, but the service was not. We sat there with empty beer glasses and then apparently a shift changed happened and once the other girl came around we just told her we would take the check and go somewhere else as we were waiting on two other people to get there. As soon as they arrived we all left and went elsewhere. I will try this place again in the future when we come back to visit as it is across the road from our family members' house, but I definitely will not be ordering the shrimp and will hope that the shift change is the reason for the beat lack of attention and having to go find our own server.

I’ve been in the villages for 11 years and I’ve been going to Bonifay for about 13 months. The management and staff are amazing. Megan the bartender is one of most attentive and friendliness person I’ve met. Everyone just loves her! I believe people go to Bonifay because she works there. And I have to mention David one of the Managers at Bonifay. He is always helping the staff and working on customer satisfaction.
