Course was in nice shape and the price was really reasonable. The greens were decent although a little slow for my taste (otherwise I would have given 5 stars). Pace of play was perfect.
Terrible conditions. They should be ashamed. Definitely not worth what they charge. Greens are patchy and bare in places. Around the greens are dry with barely any grass. Staff was friendly, but doesn’t make up for terrible conditions.
I would rate this golf course 0 stars in its current condition and rates. We called made a tee time, they did not mention that the greens had been aerated, because it had been over a week since that had done it. They were still in unplayable condition, and the tides still charged full rate for for he round. The fairways had spotty grass combined with weeds and dirt. Some tee boxes were in such bad condition and were so uneven we had to just find flat ground to hit from. The course should have earned us about the condition and should never charge full price for that....

Greens are pretty but slow as molasses I would say they're run like four to five on a stimpmeter you couldn't hit the ball hard enough to get it to the hole. Fairways and greens were also super heavily watered so that every divot was mud. It hasn't rained in here for many days and it's been very warm almost extreme record high temperatures so the water certainly wasn't from Mother Nature. We were first off in the morning, came around on the turn and there was a group of 15 women in the ladies Club that they were allowing to tee off on the back nine ahead of us. This was never explaind to us before we teed off and we sat and watched the pace of play and it was definitely going to be more than an additional 2 hours of play. When we went in to ask for the explanation of why they were allowed to cut us off at the turn we were arguing with and told that we were basically wrong, and they do this every Tuesday, and what's your problem. After giving us many excuses why this was our fault including that we played around the front 9 too fast. The manager finally came out and very professionally asked us if we would like to be refunded for the back nine which we accepted. Two things... they need to get rid of the guy behind the counter ........and the manager needs to find another Golf Course to manage cuz he was a great guy and handled the situation perfectly. The fee for 18 holes was $57 and way overpriced for what you got. Had the course been in great condition I wouldn't have minded but I felt like it was approximately double the price of the value that you got. Just say no and find somewhere else to play.

The greens are well kept and while some fairways may have the occasional rough spots they are quite acceptable and you soon learn to avoid them. I have found everyone at The Tides to be friendly and accommodating with one exception, the Tuesday bartender, who seem to have developed an extremely bad attitude - an opinion shared by several of my friends. This woman needs to be corrected or replaced, because at present she is a detriment to the club.
