What people say about (Mirror Lake Golf Course)

Greg Walsh

Staff was very friendly and the course was in good condition except for the greens that have some sort of weed growing on several holes. Putts rolled pretty good but were slower on the greens that had more of that weed on them. I still enjoyed playing there and the price was reasonable for the conditions.

Course is not in good shape. Full of crab grass, even on many of the greens. Other greens were damaged by a machine that cut right across them. I like this course for its challenging course design but their maintenance is lacking. Downed palm trees blocking the cart paths in numerous locations- could have cut them off with a chain saw in 5 minutes to clear the cart path. Sand traps? There was no "sand" in any of the traps. It was hard, compressed dirt....really hard. One trap didnt even have a rake with it. You barely make foot prints when you walk on it. All the greens were VERY slow.

This course has a nice, very challenging layout. Long tough par 3's (5) and long par 5's (one is actually 707 yards from the back tee). But there is still a lot of hurricane damage (trees down) throughout the course. Also some damage on a few of the greens, with the rest being very slow. Holes have lot of traps, which haven't been raked in a long time. But for the price it is worth playing.
