What people say about (Cabot Citrus Farms)

On Spring Break at Anna Maria Island and my 14 yo son and I had an opportunity to run up to Cabot for the day to play Karoo, first time there. We loved every minute of it and can’t wait to go back. 10:36 time and we got there about 8:30. Had breakfast at Grange Hall and the eggs Benedict was delish. Checked in after breakfast and got shuttled down to the range to warm up. Cool practice area with Trackman at every spot and 18 hole putting green/course to give you a look into what’s ahead. Dirk was our caddy and he was great. He knows Karoo very well and gave us good reads all day. I know carts are coming soon but I love that it’s currently all walking, so that was a plus. The course itself is fun, unique and challenging, gorgeous sandhill type layout. I putted decent but the greens will eat your lunch if you’re not careful. The wild flowers are in bloom this week so the contrast/color of those in scenery against the sand and green colors is very cool. Make no mistake though, this is a newer facility and work is still ongoing, clubhouse not built yet, still some bunkers being reworked on 17 but this place is going to be something special. Would love to go back and play Roost/Squeeze/Wedge.

Stayed with my wife at Cabot Citrus Farms for two nights in a 1 Br Cottage April 2nd-4th. Check-in process was seamless as filling out forms prior to visit made for a literal drive-by and hand delivered room keys. We Stayed in 36A which had some hiccups but the property is new and it is understandable that some issues may come up. Our biggest concern was the lack of privacy for the living space; particularly the kitchen window as it faced out to a parking lot. The room itself was spacious, with gorgeous interior design, high thread counts, and a very comfortable mattress which made for a pleasant visit. There were some minor drawbacks; but after bringing it forth to managements attention all issues were rectified and reflected on my folio. As for the golf itself, I played two championship 18 hole rounds. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting a world class caddie in Trent; who was very knowledgeable about Roost, was spot on with club selection and putting reads to the point where I requested him only to tackle Karoo the following day! Not only did he exemplify professionalism and positivity to the highest standard possible, he was an all around great person to socialize with and made Cabot Citrus Farms feel like home. If every caddie could be like Trent, this property will thrive on golfer experiences! My only concern with the golf is the lack of cart paths; especially for those with a medical exemption like myself. The carts lock in very questionable terrained areas where it becomes a major injury risk reversing, even for the caddies who know the course. Management should highly re-consider walking only parameters and let carts out for pace of play purposes as well; but assess the areas where carts do lock as some areas they should not be doing so. I would also like to mention that policy should be re-considered for caddies ability to ride on the back of the carts versus always walking. A final suggestion would be hydration stations with cold towels available for players and caddies convenience every three holes, especially when the temperatures soar into the mid 80's and low 90's and beyond to prevent heat related illnesses for either. I look forward to continuing exploring other Cabot properties in the near future, and nobody should be reluctant to book this prized gem in the heart of Florida.

My first time at Cabot Citrus. Really enjoyed all of the courses. The set up is fun and I found the course to be in good shape (late Feb 2025). We had a group of 16 and stayed in the "cottages". As others have mentioned it is still under construction but at the end of the day it is about the golf and the hospitality. All received 5 stars. Note that our coordinator of the 4 cottages was provided with the bill and Cabot could not bill us individually (weird). Staff, although extremely competent and friendly, had conflicting answers about a lot of issues like whether and when food venues were serving. Overall not a big deal and our group had a great trip
