Spruce Creek Country Club

Today we played Spruce Creek CC. The fairways on the front nine were very thin. The back nine were a little better. Tee boxes were very poor. Looks like they had a rough winter. The greens were just rolled and were very fast but true. Today was extremely windy which made a fairly easy course play harder. Bunkers were not raked but you could rake them yourself and replace the ball to get out. The fly in was a good course to play but their PRICING OF $78 WAS TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE MONEY bc of the condition. Will we be back - not till I hear some good reviews. Mar 6,2025

The food is, at best, okay. It seems like a hit or miss. People are always friendly! Last time we were invited here, I had a salad. How can you mess up a salad, right? Nope, tomatoes were old and wrinkled, and the lettuce was limp. One of the kids ordered the chicken fingers, ate two, and left the remaining. Surprisingly enough, all the men ate the remainder, and the chicken fingers ended up being the highlight of our meal.

A great layout without great conditions. To be totally fair, the greens are adequate, however the fairways are very thin and most are hard pan. Tee boxes are not terrible, but not where they should be. The real rub is the cost…$70 to play a less than suitable course for the money. If they are not going to live up to the standards that Spruce Creek should be than charge accordingly. Played here many times and it was in the past very good, now not so much. Suggest playing Cypress Head instead…..much better value and the course is in great shape!
