Alister Mackenzie Golf Course

Love this course. Well kept, challenging, and a great time... this course brings a lot for Sacramento golfer @ haggin oaks. The store is great, the range is so much fun, great practice greens, mini golf. This location is very popular and the Alister course is a very beautiful part of it. I play here often, and the only real complaint as it is common with most courses is the PACE OF PLAY. I understand we all have to learn somehow and somewhere, but if you can't make contact after a few swings, you need to be at the range, not a course. 5-6 hours for a round is ridiculous and tiring for everyone. I know wardens do what they can and can normally only ask people to speed up, but at some point, something has to give in this game, and people need to start being kicked off the course. I will be back, just hopefully for a shorter round next time!

The Mackenzie course is a super fun course to play, with tough greens and interesting hole designs. If you've only played the Arcade Creek course, definitely make sure you give the Mackenzie course a try!

Nice course and at a great price. Lots of critters all around the course which I like. The course is well maintained with nice open green fairways. Greens were fairly soft and surprisingly fast. The driving range was pretty cool with computers tracking every stroke and giving you lots of stats. We got there early and had lunch before played and I would also recommend the restaurant.
