What people say about (Quarry Pines Golf Club)

Fernando Carpena

Quarry Pines Golf Club – A Hidden Gem in Tucson! If you’re looking for a unique and enjoyable golfing experience in Tucson, Quarry Pines Golf Club is an absolute must-play! Nestled in a former rock quarry, this course offers a fun and scenic round with dramatic elevation changes, lush fairways, and stunning desert views. The layout is both challenging and forgiving, making it a great option for golfers of all skill levels. The front nine provides a nice warm-up with more open fairways, while the back nine brings in tighter holes and exciting elevation shifts that truly make this course stand out. The greens are well-maintained and roll true, and the overall course conditions are excellent, especially given Tucson’s desert climate. Customer service is top-notch—friendly staff, a well-stocked pro shop, and a welcoming atmosphere make the experience even better. The pace of play is generally good, and the rates are very reasonable for the quality of the course. Whether you’re a local or visiting Tucson, Quarry Pines is well worth a round. It offers a mix of challenge and playability that keeps you coming back for more. Highly recommend!

I use to dislike this course because I was a pretty bad golfer and never appreciated how tough it was. Gotten better over the years and I absolutely love it now. It's a fun challenge and I gotta say the people that work the carts are great. Mark and Alan especially! One thing I don't like is the way there prices change. Only course in Tucson where I'll never know what they are going to charge for 9 holes or twilight rate and every time I go it's a different story on price change. Very weird.

Make sure you bring lots of balls. Tight fairways and some incredibly challenging elevation changes, greens mostly ran fast but as expected. Course was in great shape considering we were in a 110F heatwave. Lots of fun even though it took a bite out of me.
