What people say about (Kokopelli Golf Club)

I visited Kokopelli for the first time today and was immediately impressed as I drove in. Unlike many courses in Arizona where it can be tough to maintain that vibrant green look, Kokopelli stood out; deep green grass everywhere, which was a great first impression. Walking into the clubhouse, the pro shop is conveniently located to the left and fully stocked with all the essentials for gameplay. On the right, there’s a smaller kitchen and bar area, perfect for grabbing a quick bite or drink before or after your round. I only had time to hit the practice facilities today, but I had a great experience. The driving range showed a bit more of the typical Arizona grass conditions I’m used to (not much out there), but the mats were in great shape and comfortable to hit from. There were also comfy chairs nearby to relax between buckets. The putting green was in great shape, and the wedge area and practice bunker were both solid spots to work on the short game. Overall, I’ll definitely be back to practice more and I can’t wait to grab a few buddies and play a full round soon. ** update ** Finally had the chance to return to the course, and it was an incredible experience. The grass was in great shape, the greens rolled true, and the overall conditions were top-notch. It was a perfect day to be out on such a beautifully maintained course. I’ll definitely be coming back soon

A fellow golfer told me when I asked about the course condition that it was in great shape this season. It had been over a year since I visited Kokpelli Golf Club. Since last time, they had flipped the nines, so the front nine was originally the back nine. I believe I understand why they did that. The course was in the same shape it has been in for years, horrible, to say the least. A lot of holes fade quickly to dirt, sitting water where a sprinkler head needed to be fixed since last time I visited, still. The new front is the worst conditioned side, so understandably, they want the consumer to finish on 18, remembering a very well maintained course. The last hole by the clubhouse is honestly the only hole in good condition, rightfully so. It's right off the frontage street, giving passer-bys the impression the whole course looks like that. I shot well, surprisingly, with a number of good tee box shots penalized by poor condition in the middle of fairways of what was once grass, now dirt. The only saving grace was the beverage cart girls who went out of their way to try and understand my course complaints, knowing neither of them played golf. Honestly, the staff would be the only reason to visit this course again in the future. If you want to learn and work on how to play out of hard-pan dirt, this is your place.

I play golf weekly, splitting my time up between the different Gilbert courses. Kokopelli is my favorite course! The staff is always amazing and the course is super fun. I enjoy how lush the grass is. The greens are always in great condition. Finally, the practice area is huge. Kokopelli has by far the largest putting and chipping green in the area. I always play my best rounds at Kokopelli while having the most fun.
