What people say about (Western Skies Golf Club)

I have been playing this course for over 7 years now and it's definitely come a long way over the last couple years. Course is getting better, looks great and guys seem to be getting everything together. I met their mechanic yesterday, seemed like a great guy. Young, experienced, and great attitude. The mechanic Is the most forgotten guy in the golf business they are becoming more difficult to find. In the 7 years going here I haven't met not 1 of their mechanics. Not sure why that is but I'm glad I met the current one. Most of equipment here running around looks old and beat up but above all they are STILL running and working as they should. Being a aviation mechanic for over 30 years I can tell you equipment used everyday gets beat to hell and it's very impressive to see all the equipment still working and kept up on. I will definitely be drinking a cold one for him today. Keep up the great work đź’Ş mechanic is tough everyone comes to you with problems and it takes a good hearted, patient and confident individual to deal with it everyday.

This was my first time using the range at Western Skies, and unfortunately, it’ll be my last. What should have been a casual, low-key experience turned into an uncomfortable situation over a simple misunderstanding about sharing a bucket of range balls. Instead of calmly explaining any policy, management chose to approach the situation with a hostile and accusatory attitude. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. We weren’t trying to get away with anything shady—just two people casually hitting a few balls, and suddenly we were being treated like we’d committed a crime. I understand policies are in place for a reason, but there’s a right way to communicate with paying customers, and this was not it. A little courtesy and professionalism would have gone a long way. The aggressive tone and complete lack of understanding from the staff—especially management—left a really sour taste. Unfortunately, what should have been a friendly and welcoming golf facility now feels like a place where you're walking on eggshells. I won’t be coming back, and I’d encourage others to think twice if you value respectful customer service.

Solid course. I played at 3:20pm and was able to get all 18 holes in for $58 after tax. I enjoyed the round. Pace of play could have been a little better, but for the price, the course was worth it. Just know there isn’t much to it. Not much for hazards or elevation. Very forgiving for a beginner. If you’re looking to play a solid course on the cheaper side of things, this is a great option. I don’t live in the area, I’m more up by North Scottsdale, but if I did live nearby, I’d certainly come back here and there to get a cheap twilight round in.
