Pro Shop at Newport News Golf Club

The customer service sucks. The lady at the pro shop would not let my young daughters ride with me because they needed the carts. I offered to pay for another cart fee and she said no. How are you supposed to get your kids into golf if they won’t accommodate them.

Course was good. Some fairways needed work. Bunkers were hard but playable. Greens were great. The reason for 3 stars is there is no turn. You play 18 straight through. Also there was a group ahead of mine and a group behind. The group ahead was moving fine but the one behind was 4 seniors playing from the women's tees. So the Marshall came by and told us we should be playing faster because the group behind tees off 80 yards in front of everyone else and they hit into us a few times. How are we supposed to play faster when the group ahead of us is keeping pace and we are right with them without hitting into them?!?! So the Marshall said well the group behind plays here every Sunday and they will call the clubhouse. I have never been told to move faster as the middle group. Do not recommend if you want an enjoyable round of golf where you are not being rushed because of the regulars who want to tee off from the women's tees and rush through the round.

Always excellent service with a smile. Now if we can just get sand in the bunkers and grass on the fairways it'll be in great shape
