I am not much of a golfer! My husband and I met up with another couple. We were on the second hole, playing best ball knowing it was busy and wanted to keep moving efficiently. One of the workers came up and literally yelled at us to move it faster. Now I don’t know a lot about golf but I know you can only rush so fast. It made the rest of the course very uneasy to play knowing we had to rush. All I ask is there is a KIND way to speak to people who are paying a decent amount to be on a course. I will NEVER go back there again. I also know it won’t stop people from continuing to play there but I hope the employees learn to speak to people in a nicer manner. I have been in management for over 25 years and have not spoke to anyone that way.
Considering the drought and heat wave in the area this summer the course is in decent shape. Greens are above average and consistent. Tees are in rougher shape, and some fairways are feeling the impact of the summer. The course layout and design is fun and offers numerous options off the tee. Biggest gripe is all the hay in between holes around trees, personally these should be penalty areas, not lost ball areas, to keep pace moving on a public course. Possibly the narrowest tees marker spacing I've ever see! (Likely to preserve the tee box during the heat). Also, 16 from the tips is unique and fear inducing.
Love this track! Enjoyed many rounds with my son, reasonably priced and very peaceful and fun. We love the animals. Also the driving range is by far the best on a public course because of the real grass, and great chipping facility. Staff is super friendly (except for the starter that loves the Yankees :p go Sox!!)
