I guess it's still early in the season or I was expecting a little to much when many compared this course to Swan Point????? NOT EVEN CLOSE. The greens were in pretty good shape, fairways ruff. Hole #1 and #9 are Driving Range death traps. We had yellow balls flying over our heads constantly. Golf shop has a few unique items, and staff friendly.
For the price of a round here it does not measure up. Course layout is pretty simple and straight forward. You can pay roughly the same price to play nearby courses like swan point or lake presidential. Clubhouse feels like a 90s bingo hall or moose lounge. Hole 1 and 9 are death traps to the driving range. Both holes are littered with range balls. Course was hard as a rock and dry. The greens were pretty torn up. Lack of rain can explain a little bit but overall it was pretty rough. Pace of play was pretty bad. Took 5.5 hours to play 18 mainly due to a group of 6 being aloud to play together a few groups ahead. Saw many groups jump a handful of holes ahead just to jump them. Course staff in the clubhouse was friendly and drink prices are great are the only saving grace.
This review pertains to the food at the course. Some may not know - The restaurant is open to the public. The burger was prepared well. The fries were terrific-thin and delicious. I sat outside and enjoyed watching guys practice putting and folks teeing off. Definitely going back again.
