First Tee - Shenandoah Valley

Excellent staff and facility centered on helping children of all ages and abilities enjoy the game of golf. They are an asset to the community as they design many programs for the schools and local organizations. I am very fortunate as the Harrisonburg High School golf coach to have formed such an incredible partnership with an organization focused on helping the kids.

First Tee came to my school and taught some lessons to my students. I loved how they didn't just put a club in a kids hand and say go, rather started first with a lesson in having good character, specifically "respect." The lessons were then taught incrementally to help students gain concepts of how to do something correctly without describing things too technically for them. All the instructors were very professional, helpful, kind and respectful of our gym space as well as towards myself and the students. They set up so as to keep safety as the priority with learning and fun as secondary (which I appreciate). Students were so excited they have begged to continue to do more golf and to have First Tee come and teach them more. I wouldn't hesitate to have them come to my school again, and will likely try to sign my children up for their summer program. Thank You! First Tee for bringing a great experience to the students of Churchville Elementary.

Our students are still talking about their experience with First Tee! Thank you to Drew, Stu, and their interns for providing the equipment and expertise to allow our students to try out different golfing challenges, all while focusing on building character and putting into practice life skills. We are so appreciative of the time they spent with us and their flexibility in dealing with schedule changes and weather conditions, all while providing our students with a unique experience that we would not have been able to provide otherwise. Thanks for all that you do for our community and we look forward to partnering with you all for years and years to come!
