What people say about (Clear Creek Golf Club)

They close at 6:30 on the summer. Not 8:00. I’m literally standing outside. Doors locked and I’m calling them too. No answer. Sunday. It’s closed.

Right at 4 star. Greens are well maintained, which is the most important part. However, the "fairway" is chunked up clay in many spots. At one time you tell it was well cared for because you can see the good grass in places but I imagine as cost increased for fertilizers and maintenance they couldn't keep up and decided to let it go somewhat. The rough is nothing but tall backyard fescue. Imagine your backyard not mowed for several weeks. The greens though, are competitive with any private course. The layout is great, for the front 9. Number 8 is a picture perfect peninsula green. The back side, as you cross over a dam, after number 10 you'd better use range balls because you're going to lose them. The fairways are only about 25 yards wide and because of the unmowed fescue if you're not in the fairway you've lost your ball. I lost 5 that couldn't be no more then 20 feet off the fairway because I saw them hit the fairway and roll out. Better go with a local so you know where to hit on some holes. Just too challenging for someone that's never played there before. I was glad I played there but I won't be back. Only because of the way too narrow farrow with unmowed fescue situation. If they would maintain the rough area to where you don't lose a ball everytime you roll off the narrow fairway, ok. But until then I'm not losing another $15 worth of golf balls on this place.

Very fun and challenging course. Tee boxes were a little rough but we had a great time!
