What people say about (Rose Park Golf Course)

Jay Roma

The staff was awesome. Kid at the pro shop was really cool and Indi in the cafe was really pleasant, they are the only reason I’m giving 3 stars. $57 for 18 with a cart is highway robbery for the conditions of the course. The fairways look like they haven’t been watered in years and the tee boxes have next to no grass on them. The greens weren’t in horrible horrible condition but could certainly use some work. A few signs throughout the course to help guide you to the next tee box would be extremely helpful as well, when you finish on a green, what would appear to be the obvious next tee box is not in fact the next tee box and there were multiple times where we were blindly driving around trying to find where to go. The views of the mountains on some of the holes were a positive and made it somewhat enjoyable. But again, the course itself, ESPECIALLY for the price, was quite the letdown.

Rose Park golf course has definitely been making some improvements. Over the years. The challenges have been mostly with tall reeds and grasses. They have mowed away most of that so the course is much more accessible. They've added new sand or at least made it so it's a little bit better. The bunkers are still very thin but if you rake them well they play okay. The grass conditions and the late spring have been fairly good, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it works through the summer. One thing to look out for with Rose Park golf course is there are a ton of mosquitoes everywhere. Bring your bug spray. You will use it! Additionally, there are at least three foxes on the golf course. Be careful in the back corner on number seven and eight on the front. They will steal your balls! We had two in the same round taken off by the foxes! It's very cool and they're fairly friendly. Just don't feed them.

The people are very nice and accommodating. Cool to golf with the local foxes running around. Open easy course.
