I think the NNHC is great. I am looking into their sweat equity program and am super excited about it. Only reason I won't give 5 stars is because of the long waiting list. Anywhere from 1 to 3 years.

Very friendly staff. They are there to help you get involved with the program they offer. If you have 10 months or so to devote to a "second job" it is well worth it building through their program. I have never met someone involved with the program who regretted it, or had a bad experience.

Mitchell Gillingham

Awesome program! We worked with Suzanne Stout and she was fantastic. We also built our home with them and for what you get it's so worth it.

I called here because a friend was going through them to build a house and help his friend build a house. They knew what I was talking about and were helpful and friendly. Ready to help me get a meeting set up!

Helps peopol into houses nicely, and the only problem is some expensive thing in Smithfield. They only warn you last minute. Choose hyrum housing is my recomendation

Carrie Lloyd

They have what I'm looking for, only they are way to selective. They leave out some of those who need the benefit they have to offer by being so selective.

We built our home with NNHC's sweat equity program. Pros: I absolutely loved our group and new neighbors. They are incredible and we would have gone crazy by the end of the sweat equity program if it weren't for them. I also love my home. It is beautiful and we ended up with a good interest rate. Cons: NNHC's management is the worst. They are very inconsistent group to group. They do not keep to the standards they profess to. They profess that they are trying to cut costs but they cut costs in terrible ways. Our home plan wasn't researched well by them before we were allowed to build it. They do not shop around for good prices for materials. They are not transparent about the prices and allocation of material costs. They allowed our homes to be started in winter which ruined our sub floors, which has caused issues with our laminate flooring only 6 months after moving in. The Construction Supervisors who oversee the building groups do not get enough help or support to effectively run a group. The office is constantly pushing more groups to be going at one time so they can brag about starting rates without caring about how that affects the supply bottleneck and the subcontract availability. Speaking of subcontractors, they do not hold them accountable for quality work. In addition they don't communicate well. You generally show up to work and have no idea what you are doing and don't get a lot of guidance like they say. Nothing is ever their fault and they take no responsibility. They were rude so many times. I never expected it to be such an emotional roller coaster from them. Just so glad to be done with them and I never want to ever deal with them again. If you are considering doing this program, you will end up in a great neighborhood with great people but be prepared to deal with feeling jerked around for a full year.
