Glen Eagle is a lovely course, and the price is great for it being so conveniently located! Registration was a breeze, and time on the course was enjoyed. However, there is one major thing that keeps me from giving this course give stars. We had someone in our party of four who was unable to play because his wife was in active labor. When we talked with the guy at check-in to see if the fee could be waived for him, given the life-altering circumstances, he said, "Well, it *is* Saturday morning golf..." and went ahead and charged the fee. Which is fine, I get it, we agreed to terms at checkout. But it does send a certain kind of message. Well, your wife is having your baby as we speak but... golf. It was incredibly off-putting. I get if like, bro just decided he didn't want to show for tee time because he hit snooze or had a hangover. But not even a shred of compassion was given. Not even a "Oh no! That's so exciting, we wish him well, but unfortunately... blah blah." I hate to sum up what would have otherwise been a great experience with only two stars, but it really felt like it came down to profit over people at Glen Eagle. It will not be our first, or second, or third pick of golf courses in the future.
