This is a really nice, and somewhat hidden, course. It’s very well maintained, the prices were pretty decent, the staff were excellent and the scenery was gorgeous! As for the difficulty it was moderate, 6/10. Some holes were really tough but there’s also a 70 yard par 3. It would be perfect for beginners or kids who are working on learning the game, but those who have played for years will find it fun as well. Now for the downside: given it’s location, next to a campground and lake, and where it is in the state there was next to no golfing etiquette. Now I’m not a huge stickler when it comes to etiquette but blasting music, screaming and yelling, and and driving your cart while someone is trying to hit is not cool. I know I sound like some angry grandpa but it was honestly getting out of hand. This was really the only problem I found during my round. This course was super fun. It’s a bit out of the way, just over 90 miles from my house, but it was definitely worth it. I had an absolute blast and I’ll definitely be coming back at least once a year!
Great course! Beautiful place to play! Great people working hear! Watch out for the angry old guys, but Palisade’s is a great golf course in the middle of nowhere! If you are driving by you need to stop and play this course. Great golf pro at the course!
Absolutely beautiful course that is kind of tucked away. It has such beautiful views all around the course, and some really fun but challenging holes, including a par 3 where you have to hit across a ravine. Definitely not an easy course, but worth playing for sure. Be aware if you’re there on a Sunday the cafe closes in the early afternoon, so make sure to bring your own drinks/food.
