What people say about (Copper Rock Golf Course)

Wade Dearling

Definitely worth playing. The whole course is in great shape. Greens were beautiful to match the views. Would easily play again. Hole 11 needs nets for the houses. So tight. Spray right you could be buying a window or two.

Played this course recently and can't say anything else except that it was totally a waste of time. You would assume that $240 for green fees would get you some decent course conditions right, not on this Day. There were thick piles of Grass clippings covering most of the rough on several of the holes. Dead spots on several greens, bunkers were poorly maintained so in and so forth. Drove 4 hours to play this course, what a shame because the layout was actually pretty cool. Hard to believe an Epson tour event will be playing this course next week. May be worth $50 at the most, until conditions are improved to justify what they are charging. Oh, and it took almost 6 hrs to play the round. Marshall was told about groups ahead playing extremely slow, and never did anything to speed them up.

Fun course and in great shape. Pro shop is small but has a couple of things if you like merch. The food counter is also small but had good prices and a friendly staff. You don't pass until after the 11th hole, so plan accordingly. The driving range and first tee (and 18th green) are quite far away from the clubhouse. It's peculiar to be driving right beside the 10th and 11th having to be aware of the golfers hitting into you or behind you (when you finish 18). The starter was fantastic and helpful for not just rules but holes on the back that are blind tee shots. It's a fun course worth checking out, personally I don't love course designs that feature highly manufactured looking water features and such (Jack Nicklaus type designs)...that being said, our group enjoyed playing the course and would recommend it overall. Also seems like a great time to play now, there looks to be a ton of development happening in the area that in my opinion will hurt the views of just incredible land looking off towards Sand Hollow. Staff that greets you at your car on arrival and after your round were great. Friendly and helpful when talking about their own course and others in the area.
