First time to play here. Nice course. Fairways were nice. Really enjoyed playing there.
I have played this course multiple times over the last year and have always been very happy with the condition of the course and the overall experience playing here. However, this past Sunday 8/4/24 I made the long trip to the course one I often recommend and rave about only to be so disappointed and let down. A buddy and I had a 8am tee time. At the start things were a little different than they had been all the other times, it seemed things were not as well kept maybe the grass was growing a little quicker and there were grass trimming clumps here and there which was odd. But things only got worse on the back nine the rough was extremely tall and I felt like I was on a Easter egg hunt when my ball wasn't more than 11 inches off the fairway. Also there were piles of grass clippings and big clumps everywhere. We were very disappointed to say the least. I don't know if they have changed management or changed maintenance personnel but something has drastically changed and not for the better. This was one of the top rated courses last year from several organizations, and now I wouldn't even consider it in the top 15 of the area. I wish I had taken photos because the ones posted in other reviews are not a reflection of this courses current conditions.
Played course today after hearing great things for awhile now. Didn’t seem like they were taking good care of the course. Several greens were in such bad shape that you had mini bunkers on them with sand and literally dead grass curling up everywhere. Very similar if you were to spray round up and go full scorched earth on the grass. The greens were also covered in POA weeds and it made putting very difficult. Several putts went to the wayside after hitting some weeds…frustrating. This could’ve been our fault but at the turn we were told their was no beverage cart at this course. I paid $14 for 2 beers and a bag of M&M’s in the pro shop, which seems outrageous to me. The course is a difficult course and if you hit your ball 1-2 feet off the fairway good luck finding it. Needless to say, I will not be returning until I see some up to date reviews and course conditions.
