Visiting family in Tyler. Almost didn't go after reading some of the posted reviews. It really wasn't bad for a Public course. Some areas of the course need some attention. Tee boxes were decent. Couple of fairway layouts were questionable. Overall, not a bad experience. I'd play there again.
I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent visit to your course. I came to play with my husband and another couple, and while we were looking forward to a fun, relaxed outing, the experience was unfortunately soured by a negative interaction with a staff member. At one point during the round, I got out of the cart to putt for fun—a moment that’s always been harmless and enjoyable for us. However, a manager approached us and spoke in a harsh and unprofessional tone, assuming I had been playing the entire course. The staff member also ripped a ball out of my hand I picked up the ball on the course unaware it was a range ball. I understand and respect your course policies, but the way it was handled felt unnecessary and overly aggressive. It put a damper on what was meant to be a lighthearted day with friends. My husband was very angered I wish we could get our money back at this point because our chances of returning to this course are slim now.
Played here twice this week, and the course is in outstanding shape. The greens are the best I’ve ever seen them. On both visits, I was greeted by a young lady at the counter who was genuinely friendly and welcoming. Service here can sometimes be hit or miss depending on who’s working, but she was great and made both experiences even more enjoyable. Also glad to see they’re now on GolfNow. It's a fun course.
