Hillcrest Country Club

They have daily specials which vary. Thursdays is fried catfish n two sides. The catfish is,cornmeal breaded and perfectly cooked. The beans had good flavor but could have used another hour on simmer. Still very palatable. Cole slaw was a mix but still fresh. They also have fresh cut fries or seasoned fries. The portions are ample. The food good. Service was on time and friendly. Nice views of the golf course and river bottom are a nice break from mundane eatery. Worth the stop.

Really great weekday lunch specials that will fill you up, really awesome Carrot cake for dessert and a round of golf to walk it off, what more do you want?. Sunday brunch from 11-2:00. Carrie's a great assortment of buffet foods. Wife and I eat here 1-2 times a month.

Would give 3.5 if possible. On the down side, building in need of updating, severely. Steak is not consistently cooked as ordered. Food is good, not exceptional or bad. Ending on a good note, the staff are always friendly and the golf course makes a nice view while eating.
